World Recycling Day is celebrated on May 17 to raise awareness among the population about the importance of treating waste accordingly to protect the environment.
It is about reducing the volume of waste generated and minimizing our carbon footprint.
recycling is divided into three ways:
Reduce
When we make the purchase, try to buy products in bulk, which have as little packaging as possible. If possible none. Use cloth bags.
Re-use
Give a new life to things that no longer serve us. Before throwing them away, think that they can be used for something else: bottles, bags and cardboard boxes can have various uses and serve as flowerpots, for decoration, to build things , etc.
Recycle
Most of the materials we use can be recycled. This depends on the institutions and on ourselves. For example, recycling 1,000 kg of paper saves the lives of 17 trees.
